GOD'S GREEN EARTH
GOD’S GREEN EARTH is the long-awaited, debut album from Brother Mac. And all 10 original, spiritual songs are divinely-inspired classics meant to be shared and enjoyed by all ages (hippie to sippie)! The listener's attention is immediately captured from the very first notes of the title track with its folksy-flute and happy, upbeat, Mammas and Pappas' vibe. The sequence of songs then flows like a river with the vast musical influences embracing every measure until the impassioned baritone-saxophone's fade-away ending. ..
Ed Rawls and Justin McNeight tracked and mixed the album at their award-winning recording studio in Atlanta (The Living Room). And Justin, as the credits' page shows (CD only), is a master talent on nearly every instrument he touches. Certainly his lead guitar prowess on Have You Heard of Christ? comes only from the truly-gifted. GGE has many other notable highlights including Ben Davis' solo on Peace of God, which will give any 80’s hit a run for its money. And throughout the collection, Brother Mac’s soothing vocals are blissfully-married to Naomi Lavender’s heavenly-harmonies forevermore.
Jimmy Buffett was also kind enough to share his long-time percussionist, Eric Darken, for the album. And to finish the project, the Berkley-grad and long-time Drivin N Cryin producer, Chris Griffin, mastered the album to industry perfection.
